-As you can see, our new website is up and running. We will be making improvements and adding a message board in the future for comments, questions, suggestions, or any other gripes and grievences!

Random Copper Facts
-Copper is the standard benchmark for electrical conductivity. It conducts electrical current better than any other metal except silver.

-Copper is routinely refined to 99.98% purity before it is acceptable for many electrical applications.

-About 2% of the total weight of a Boeing 747-200 jet plane is copper. Included in that weight is 632,00 feet of copper wire.

-A typical diesel-electric railroad locomotive utilizes about 11,000 lbs. of copper.

-The melting point of pure copper is 1981F.

-24-carat gold is not pure. Because gold is soft and can be molded with the hands, a small amount of copper must be added to it to make it useable.

-Copper is man's oldest metal, dating back more than 10,000 years. A copper pendant discovered in what is now northern Iraq dates back to about 8700BC.

-One of the famous Dead Sea Scrolls found in Isreal is made of copper instead of common, more fragile animal skins. The scroll contains no mention of biblical passages or religious writings, only clues to a still undiscovered treasure.
